Citizen of the Year Award

The Bill Kersten Outstanding Citizen of the Year award is proudly presented by the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce. It was established in memory of Bill Kersten, who was devoted to Liberty and the betterment of others.

The award recognizes an individual who has made a noteworthy contribution over and above regular employment duties during the current year or multiple years. Outstanding contributions and community service include education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well-being of our community.

Nominations must be received by Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 5 pm.

The award will be presented during the Toast to Progress breakfast on January 28, 2025.

Past recipients include Jackie Murtha, Jeff Watt, Chad Wek, Jodi Capps & Daniel Doering.
