The Veterinary Center of Liberty
The Veterinary Center of Liberty was established in 1987 by Drs. Alan and Lori Rohlfing. Originally located in what is now known as Liberty Commons, the Veterinary Center of Liberty moved to its current location in Cobblestones Business Park in 1994. Dr. Davinne Glenn joined the practice in 1999 followed by Dr. Andrea Grow in 2004. Our newest veterinarian, Dr. Nadine Rowen, joined the practice in 2020. We have a robust staff of 48, including registered veterinary technicians, vet tech students, veterinary assistants, receptionists, kennel staff and groomers.
The Veterinary Center of Liberty is a well-established small animal clinic providing wellness visits and sick pet care and surgeries, preventative medicine, boarding, daycare and grooming services. Our clinic has a strong community presence and staff members participate in many philanthropic organizations locally and abroad. We work alongside the City of Liberty Animal Control Offers in providing care for the dogs and cats at our new Liberty Animal Shelter. The Veterinary Center has loved being a part of this area and serving the Liberty community for the past 34 years.

Corbin Theater, which was founded by Juarenne Hester and Detlef Lehnardt in 2001, is presently the official theater of the city of Liberty, Missouri. After agreeing that Liberty needed an outlet to promote artistic activities, they selected a local board of those interested in the arts. Named after a previous multi-purpose theater that had existed in Liberty in the late 1800s, the Corbin Theater began producing shows immediately, using as its venue different buildings on the square, in addition to tents on the Chamber of Commerce grounds! Ultimately, the theater found its home at 15 N. Water, and after much-beloved volunteer labor, the former sporting goods store was converted into our permanent (at that time) home.
Corbin Theater has always played an important part in the fabric of Liberty, and regardless of our location, we continue to offer a vast array of theatrical and performance opportunities. In 2021, Corbin left our home on the square and was fortunate to find a performing venue at the Garrison School, at 502 N. Water. Since 2001, we’ve welcomed the opportunity to feature and appreciate local talent, in addition to Broadway performers! We’ve offered a wide variety of musicals, plays, bluegrass, concerts, and perhaps one of our most signature events is Jazz on the Square (now Jazz at the Garrison), which is held free of charge the first Monday of every month. We also highlight a summer program for students of all ages, Corbin Kids Company, which performs two full productions every summer. We would invite all Liberty community members to join us at any or all events, or better yet, to be a part of our productions! The Tasty Thai restaurant was started in 2000 by husband-and-wife team Marisa and Dom Wiruhayarn. Tasty Thai, the northland’s only Thai restaurant, represents their motherland well with a wide variety of Thai dishes from around the nation. The small restaurant has two locations in Kansas City, MO, off NW Prairie View Drive, and one off Hwy 152, in the Liberty Triangle. Tasty Thai offers many delicious dishes such as Pad Thai, Pad Ki Mao, Fried Rice, and Thai Curry; among many more, there is something on the menu for everyone to enjoy.
In 2014, Marisa retired from the City of Kansas City Finance Department as a manager of the Revenue Division. After her retirement, she started to add more products to her existing Tasty Thai restaurant based on family recipes and her passion for Thai food. She wanted even more people to savor the sauce that her restaurant customers enjoyed. This inspiration led to one part of her newest venture: Tasty Thai Primal Cry hot sauce. She perfected the ingredients and is proud to say it does not have any preservatives, MSG, or gluten. The sauce has only 5% sodium per serving. Then she developed Sweet Peanut sauce and Beef Jerky.

KC Complete Auto Service began operations in 2004 and our Liberty location has been serving the community for going on 10 years! In 2015, at our current location at 203 N. 291 Hwy, we remodeled the lobby and waiting rooms then added the service bays to complete the look. Offering full-service auto repair and unbeatable pricing on tires, our focus is to keep you on the road.
We understand that most customers aren’t too thrilled to get service or repairs on their vehicles. We try to make it as painless and convenient as possible. Just over two years ago, in the heart of the pandemic, KC Complete was acquired by Telle Tire out of St. Louis. Currently, we operate 18 stores across the state, including locations in KC, St. Louis, Springfield, and Jefferson City. Over the last 80 years, Telle Tire & Auto Centers have learned a thing or two about customer service and auto repair in ever-changing business environments. We have been honored to be part of the Liberty community and will continue to grow alongside it!

FastKick Martial Arts Center is the longest-running professional martial arts school in the Liberty area. Celebrating our 20th anniversary in October 2021. We are honored to be selected as the June 2022 Business of the month by the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce.
Our mission is to build strong leaders in the community we serve using the martial art of Taekwondo as our core discipline and guide. Striving to help each individual encompass and live a life based on the five Tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.
Through these principles, we believe that teaching students how to properly set goals for themselves and then helping them to take the proper action to reach those goals can change their lives for the better. We take this approach with each student as an individual and believe that with hard work and determination all students can achieve a black belt not only in Taekwondo but in life.
We believe that if our students are taught the proper skills necessary to succeed in life, they will become the leaders of tomorrow.

Northland Rolladium Skate Center
Congratulations to Northland Rolladium Skate Center, our August Business of the Month!
Northland Rolladium is one of the best places to roller skate in the Kansas City area. They have kept Liberty and the surrounding area rolling in family fun since 1985. They have been a family-owned and operated roller-skating center in the Kansas City metro since 1956. Northland Rolladium has made many changes over the years, but one thing that has not changed is their friendly staff and family atmosphere.
